Lady GaGa

I've been listening to the new records GaGa has been putting out, and it doesn't quite seem like she has quite the same buzz she has had in the past with previous records...I know she will still sell because she is GaGa, but it seems like a lot of the newest music I've been hearing has been either subpar or so left field that it's not catching on. Anytime in the past where the stars dropped the ball like this, there has always been an artist who has been waiting for their big chance who has broken thru...case in point, Chris Brown when Usher put out the Here I Stand album. The album was great and had a #1 record ("Love In This Club") but didn't even come close to matching the success of his landmark Confessions album, and Chris Brown was able to come out with the Exclusive album (his second album, which sold over 3 million records) with hit after hit ("Take You Down", "With You", "Forever", "Superhuman") and steal some of Usher's thunder.

I just got word from Brian Angel of day26 (via twitter) that one of the three songs we did with him for the new day26 album, A New Day, is about to have a video shot for it and made into a single. The record is called "Before", and is without a doubt the most personal record I've ever written. While the feelings that went into writing it no longer apply, I still love the record and hope that it goes on to become tremendously successful for us all. Brian sang the hell out of it so I have no doubt that it will win. #STAYTUNED
